As a general concept, behavioral health refers to a field of scientific study, academic education, and clinical healthcare practice that focuses on the integration of psychosocial, behavioral, and biomedical knowledge relevant to health and illness. Behavioral health principles can be applied in practice by a variety of disciplines including psychologists, social workers, counselors, other mental health professionals, nurses, physicians, and others.

The mission of BehavioralHealthCE is:

 

          To offer high-quality, evidence-based courses in behavioral health written by experts in their fields.

          To offer information on health issues to the general public since all of our courses can be viewed for free.

          To promote interdisciplinary education about important health issues.

 

 

HOW DO I GET STARTED? 

 

BehavioralHealthCE strives to make the process of taking an online continuing education course easy and rewarding.  The process is simple:

·         Adjust the text size using the font menu in the upper right corner

·         Read the course for free (from the website or print a copy)

·         Take the test for free

·         Complete the course evaluation

·         Purchase your continuing education credits now or later from My Account

·         Print your certificate now or later from My Account

 

The results of your progress are stored in My Account even before purchasing your continuing education certificate.  Your satisfaction with the course is assured since you can review all of the materials and take the test before purchasing your credits. You can get started by looking over the courses, registering an account, or logging in through the Account Menu to the left.

 

 

ACCREDITATIONS AND APPROVALS

 

100px-psi2_svgBehavioralHealthCE is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.  BehavioralHealthCE maintains responsibility for this program and its content. 

 

BehavioralHealthCE is accredited by the California Department of Industrial Relations Division of Workers’ Compensation Medical Unit to provide Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) continuing education credits for the specifically designated QME courses (provider number 1250).  QME designated courses are applicable to ALL disciplines for QME continuing education credits. Only those courses beginning with “QME” are approved.

 

BehavioralHealthCe is approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (CA-BBS) to offer continuing education for marriage and family counselors (MFT, MFCC) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW).  CA-BBS provider number PCE4682.

 

BehavioralHealthCE is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN Provider number CEP 15457).  This document is to be retained by the licensee for a period of four years after the completion of the course.

 

BehavioralHealthCe is approved by the California Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians (CA-BVNPT) to offer CE credits to LVN’s and Psychiatric Technicians (Approval Code V10685).
